Job Description

As a specialist Facilities Management Business Services group, this SME business has established an enviable reputation supporting a broad portfolio of customers. Delivering a high-quality Contracts Service offering alongside competitive pricing, the organisation operates through 6 core divisions in the Contracting arena including Planned & Reactive Maintenance (PME), Electrical Testing, Data Installation, Fire Alarms & Security and Lighting, Air Conditioning, Power & Security. Due to internal restructuring an opportunity for a sole charge Financial Controller exists. Supporting the Managing Director, your brief includes:

  • Control of financial management accounting & reporting including Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts including variance & divisional analysis
  • Cash flow reporting; cash management; daily and weekly bank reconciliations
  • Supporting the annual budgeting and forecasting process
  • Liaison with business administration team regarding weekly contractor & timesheet processing
  • Processing weekly & monthly payroll
  • Development of relationships with external providers including Outsourced FD & auditors and banks

As a qualified accountant with strong financial management accounting & reporting and controls experience gained within an SME business environment, you will demonstrate exposure to job costing in the Facilities Management/Contracting arena, an eye for detail, excellent IT skills and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
