Due to continued growth and expansion of internal service offerings, a new position has been created for a Microsoft Azure SME.
Key Responsibilities of the Microsoft Azure SME
- Microsoft 365 and Copilot Management:
Responsible for the design, deployment, and administration of Microsoft 365 services, including SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, Teams, and OneDrive for Business. Configured Copilot to optimize collaboration, communication, and productivity within the M365 environment.
- Microsoft Purview Implementation:
Implemented and managed Microsoft Purview solutions, emphasizing information protection, data governance, compliance, and insider risk management. Connected Purview with Copilot Studio to facilitate efficient data policy creation, management, and monitoring.
- Security and Compliance:
Ensured the security of the M365 and Copilot environments, overseeing identity and access management, threat protection, and information protection. Developed and enforced policies to align with industry standards and regulatory requirements, conducting audits and generating reports to ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
- System Monitoring and Support:
Monitored system health to maintain high availability, performance, and scalability. Provided technical support and guidance to engineering teams, troubleshooting and resolving issues related to M365, Purview, and Copilot services.
Skills & Attributes of the Microsoft Azue SME
- Over three years of experience in managing Microsoft 365 and Purview.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred certifications in Microsoft 365 and Purview (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals).
- Expertise in deploying and optimizing Microsoft 365 services, with solid knowledge of Purview, particularly in information protection, data governance, and compliance.
- Strong understanding of cloud computing principles, particularly within Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 environments.
- Extensive experience in application and infrastructure design, with strong analytical skills for solving complex issues.
- Excellent communication skills, with experience facilitating meetings and WebEx sessions.
- Ability to work effectively in high-paced environments, adapting quickly to new challenges.
- Proactive, collaborative, and flexible, with international experience as an asset.
