Harcourt Matthews successfully placed a number of individuals within the Balfour Beatty Group Projects, Finance and Modelling team. It was this reputation for high-quality service delivery that led Balfour Beatty’s FD to make an internal recommendation to support the MD of Professional Services and Head of Programme Management (Parsons Brinckerhoff) that led to Harcourt Matthews undertaking a recruitment drive, to resource several high-calibre individuals and to provide a flexible recruitment management solution to aid the growth and development of a recently established In-house Group Projects Consultancy or Group Programme Management Office (PMO).

The Harcourt Matthews team worked with the Head of PMO to support the recruitment programme, and over a short- & medium-term established a credible internal & external reputation as a supplier of choice within Project and Programme management arena. This team was engaged in the support to large internal business transformation projects, cross selling its expertise throughout Balfour Beatty.

Harcourt Matthews continues to provide recruitment expertise working with divisions and business units, to resource highly capable & credible Finance & Accounting, Project and Programme Management (PMO), Commercial bidding and Pfi / SPV / SPC & Concessions professionals.

We have supported line management and HR in a recruitment needs analysis and having established the needs of the organisation, several key objectives were highlighted, including:
