The Company
The organisation is investing in its systems, data and reporting capabilities, creating an opportunity for a Data Analyst to have a genuine impact on how information is managed and used. The role will work closely with finance and technology stakeholders, providing exposure to a range of systems and opportunities to contribute to ongoing improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop data reporting: Build code-based reports within bespoke systems and develop business intelligence dashboards that provide clear, useful insight to stakeholders.
- Maintain finance systems: Support the integrity and ongoing maintenance of finance systems and associated data, helping to ensure information remains accurate and reliable.
- Improve business processes: Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and implement solutions that improve efficiency, accuracy and consistency.
- Support system implementation: Contribute to the introduction and development of new systems, helping to ensure data and reporting requirements are effectively incorporated.
- Document processes: Maintain clear and accurate documentation covering systems, processes and reporting to support consistency, knowledge sharing and effective controls.
Skills & Attributes
- Strong analytical capability: Demonstrable data analysis and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate issues, identify patterns and develop practical solutions.
- Technical data skills: Experience with some of SQL, Excel, Python, Power BI, Tableau, eFront or Business Central. Experience with eFront is particularly desirable.
- Systems experience: Exposure to bespoke systems would be advantageous, alongside an understanding of how data is structured, maintained and controlled within business applications.
- Automation and AI interest: A genuine interest in automation and emerging AI technologies, with the curiosity to identify ways they can improve existing processes and reporting.
- Organised and reliable: Strong attention to detail and an understanding of data quality and controls, combined with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet regular deadlines.
