A leading legal organisation is seeking a Knowledge Solutions Engineer to support the design and delivery of technology-enabled knowledge solutions. The role focuses on improving access to legal know-how, data and tools through scalable and user-focused systems, working closely with Knowledge, Technology and legal teams.

Key Responsibilities of the Knowledge Solutions Engineer

 
  • Translate legal requirements into logic - Convert legal drafting needs into clear automation specifications, even where requirements are incomplete or unclear.
  • Develop document automation templates - Build, maintain and test templates to ensure accurate inputs, logic and outputs across systems.
  • Configure workflows and knowledge tools - Support and maintain workflow platforms and structured knowledge solutions to enhance efficiency.
  • Identify and improve processes - Analyse bottlenecks and repetitive tasks to design scalable digital workflows and improved processes.
  • Support AI and innovation initiatives - Test GenAI use cases, maintain prompt libraries and contribute to responsible AI adoption and continuous improvement.

Skills & Attributes of the Knowledge Solutions Engineer
 
  • Document automation platform experience - Familiarity with tools such as Avvoka, Contract Express, HotDocs or similar, including logic, variables and testing.
  • Workflow and automation knowledge - Understanding of no-code or low-code platforms such as Power Automate, Zapier or similar tools.
  • Data analysis and reporting skills - Confidence working with structured data, spreadsheets and reporting tools such as Excel or Power BI.
  • Understanding of AI and integrations - Awareness of prompt-based systems, APIs and how systems exchange and utilise data.
  • Strong communication and problem solving - Ability to translate complex requirements into practical solutions and communicate effectively across teams.
