A leading global consulting group is seeking a Manager to join its globally regarded legal engineering practice. This role is suited to an experienced legal engineering or legal consulting professional with a strong interest in transformation, technology and legal operations.
You will work closely with law firms and in-house legal teams, helping redesign how legal services are delivered, improving efficiency and supporting the responsible adoption of GenAI. The role combines hands-on delivery with team leadership and client engagement.
Key Responsibilities of the Manager - Legal Engineer
- Lead legal transformation workstreams – Manage workstreams or mid-sized projects for law firms and in-house teams, focusing on process redesign and AI-enabled solutions.
- Drive GenAI implementation – Support development and execution of GenAI strategies, translating objectives into practical solutions. Guide clients on opportunities, risks and key implementation considerations.
- Manage delivery and teams – Oversee day-to-day project delivery, coordinating multidisciplinary teams across legal, engineering and data. Ensure timely delivery within scope while supporting adoption through training.
- Client and stakeholder management – Build strong relationships with stakeholders, acting as a key project contact. Support senior colleagues in account management and identifying further opportunities.
- Support business development – Contribute to proposals, pitches and thought leadership. Help develop the firm’s legal engineering offering and broader market presence.
Skills & Attributes of the Manager - Legal Engineer
- Relevant professional experience – Strong experience in legal services, consulting, legal operations or related fields. A legal qualification is beneficial, with understanding of legal processes and delivery.
- GenAI and legal technology expertise – Demonstrates experience with GenAI, large language models and legal tech tools, including involvement in implementation or transformation initiatives.
- Delivery and team leadership – Proven ability to manage workstreams or small teams, with experience in project delivery, stakeholder coordination and structured or agile methodologies.
- Stakeholder and communication skills – Confident engaging with clients and internal teams, with ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and effectively.
- Analytical and problem-solving capability – Strong data analysis and structured problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and focus on high-quality outcomes.
