This global professional services firm has a significant legal and consulting capability supporting multinational clients across complex corporate matters and strategic transactions. The Senior Legal Project Manager will be part of a growing legal operations and delivery function, focused on enhancing client service, commercial performance, and project execution across large-scale engagements. The successful applicant will work closely with senior stakeholders to drive legal project management initiatives within legal services.
Key Responsibilities of the Senior Legal Project Manager
- Leading complex legal projects – Managing large-scale corporate and M&A matters from initiation through to completion, ensuring effective coordination, delivery control, and stakeholder communication throughout the transaction lifecycle.
- Developing delivery frameworks – Designing and implementing legal project management methodologies, templates, and governance processes to improve consistency and operational efficiency across engagements.
- Supporting commercial initiatives – Contributing to client proposals, panel pitches, and commercial discussions to support the growth and positioning of the legal practice.
- Driving stakeholder engagement – Working closely with partners, fee earners, clients, and operational teams to support effective project delivery and strengthen adoption of legal project management practices.
- Delivering coaching and oversight – Providing training, mentoring, and performance support to legal teams while promoting best practice across project delivery and client management.
Skills & Attributes of the Senior Legal Project Manager
- Legal Project Management expertise – you will be an experienced legal project manager, ideally within corporate and M&A transactions, including an understanding of deal structures and transaction delivery requirements.
- Professional services background – Experience operating within a large professional service, legal, or consulting environment with exposure to complex client-facing engagements.
- Strong commercial awareness – Ability to support pricing discussions, alternative fee arrangements, and broader commercial strategy within legal or advisory services.
- Advanced stakeholder management – Strong communication and relationship-building skills with experience engaging senior stakeholders, clients, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Technical and analytical capability – Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint for reporting, analysis, presentation development, and delivery of management information.
