Accounts Receivable Analyst

An Accounts Receivable Analyst role is available for this world leading Law firm who has developed an enviable reputation for advising world-leading corporate and financial institutions across some of the world’s leading companies and financial institutions including a significant number listed on the Fortune 100, FTSE 100 and DAX. Covering a broad range of practices including Banking & Finance, Capital Markets, Intellectual Property, Joint Ventures & Strategic Alliances, Mergers & Acquisitions and Real Estate, the business operates across Asia, the Americas and Europe. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a collaborative and diverse organisation. This is a key role where you can manage a portfolio of Firm partners, ensuring timely and effective recovery of outstanding payments from clients.

 

Key Responsibilities of the Accounts Receivable Analyst

 

  • Implements effective collection strategies that ensure timely collection of payments from clients
  • Fosters positive relationships with partners, clients and internal stakeholders to facilitate effective collaboration and resolution of collection issues
  • Proactively follows up, conceives solutions and solves problems
  • Provides reports, analyses, and recommendations to partners
  • Serves as a point of contact for clients on payment inquiries, disputes and overdue balances
  • Collaborates with billing and other administrative teams to address billing inquiries and disputes
  • Effectively utilizes the Firm’s financial systems and software for tracking collections, noting statuses, updating contact information and generating reports
  • Maintains strong records of commentaries on collection efforts and statuses
  • Prepares and presents regular reports on collection performance, aging reports and other metrics
  • Ensures compliance with Firm policies, legal requirements and client agreements
  • Identifies opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies in the collection process
  • Regularly reconciles accounts and resolves discrepancies to ensure accurate and current records
  • Meets collection targets
  • Assists with special projects and other tasks as assigned

 

Skills & Attributes of the Accounts Receivable Analyst

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field is preferred
  • You will need to have a minimum two years collections experience, ideally within the professional services sector
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products with experience of data analysis and use of PowerBI
  • Evidence of providing exemplary service and upholding high standards of excellence
  • Skilled in cultivating strong relationships and fostering trust among partners, clients and colleagues
  • Demonstrate a high attention to detail when pursuing payments, documenting actions and maintaining records
  • Show confidence in pursuing payments, navigating negotiations, upholding Firm policies and effectively escalating issues
