The Company:

A top global law firm is on the lookout for a talented Analytics Lead to join their team! Thanks to a wave of new investments, this newly created role will focus on driving digital projects across various practice groups. The firm is renowned for delivering exceptional legal services and innovative solutions to large corporate clients, and now they’re growing even further.

 

Key Responsibilities of the Analytics Lead

  • Providing support on matters with a strong emphasis on data analysis and reporting.
  • Transforming data into visually appealing and insightful reports for matter insights.
  • Converting data into various formats to align with matter delivery needs (e.g., converting log file formats for data breach analysis).
  • Developing and managing Legal Transformation dashboards for key stakeholders, ensuring they grasp their functionality.
  • Presenting numerical data in a clear and understandable format for a wide range of stakeholders, accompanied by concise explanations to contextualise the data.

Skills & Attributes of the Analytics Lead

  • Demonstrates strong analytical reasoning, able to interpret and evaluate complex information, with sound judgment and independent problem-solving skills.
  • A strategic thinker with a data-driven approach to solving complex issues and generating actionable insights.
  • Advanced experience in developing and maintaining analytical tools and reports.
  • Skilled in creating impactful presentations and dashboards.
  • Strong storytelling abilities to effectively communicate data insights to key business stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerBI, or similar tools.
  • Basic understanding of data querying languages such as SQL.
  • Familiar with SharePoint and Power Automate.
  • Tertiary qualifications in relevant fields such as Data Science, Economics, or Mathematics are advantageous.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint).
  • Exceptional attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
  • Able to work effectively in an agile, activity-based environment.
  • Experience delegating tasks to junior team members, ensuring clear instructions and a robust quality control process are in place.
