The Company
A Finance Business Partner is sought by this leading international Professional Services group operating in Europe, Asia and the Middle East boasting a strong track record of delivering high quality niche services to a blue-chip portfolio of clients in some of the fastest growing markets in the world. Ongoing expansion has created a new opportunity for a graduate ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified accountant to undertake a high-profile Finance Business Partner role. Working closely with the firm’s Partners and C-Suite, you will support decision-making processes, and provide detailed analysis to add value, joining the business during a period of change, transformation and development. A varied brief includes:
Key Responsibilities of the Finance Business Partner
- Proactively working with senior fee earners, Business managers and Ops Directors
- Providing necessary financial support to ensure strategic business development, client retention and increased client profitability within the practice groups
- Provision of annual planning and budgeting, quarterly forecasting and longer term strategic reviews of offices to support profitable growth
- Enabling the practice group to achieve its objectives, make decisions and plan appropriately through the effective understanding and use of financial analysis
- Preparation of monthly finance MI which contains insightful commentary and analysis. Monitoring performance against long-term strategic and short-term operational plans and assisting the partners formulate the necessary actions to be taken to achieve agreed financial targets
- Supporting the practice groups in building business cases for required initiatives, such as lateral hires, practice area and geographic expansion
- Advanced ad-hoc analysis as required to help maximise profitability across the group around realisation, fee earner utilisation and working capital
Skills & Attributes of the Finance Business Partner
- Qualified accountant (any discipline)
- Experience of working in a professional services group is advantageous
- Prior experience of managing or mentoring staff is advantageous but not essential
- Demonstrable experience of multi-tasking and managing conflicting priorities
- Proven experience and willingness to add value and build strong relationships with senior stakeholders
