Senior Pricing Manager – 12 month Fixed-Term-Contract
Central London, (hybrid working 3 days in the office)
£95,000 – £110,000 + great benefits
The Company
As an international law firm, this business has built an enviable reputation for advising on high-profile and ground-breaking global transactions for a portfolio of blue-chip clients. Offering a renowned professional service, technical excellence and commercial awareness, the firm prides itself on a practical and constructive approach to legal issues. The firm is currently seeking a Senior Pricing Manager to support them on a 12 month fixed term contract.
Key Responsibilities of the Senior Pricing Manager
- Work with the Pricing Director, CCO and Fee Committees to develop appropriate pricing strategies for specific areas of the business
- Analyse historical pricing to develop an understanding of specific areas of the business
- Identify opportunities to improve commercial performance, e.g. with regards specific clients, sectors or work types
- Advise on financial/commercial elements of client pitches, e.g. rate modelling, alternative fee arrangements, value-add options, negotiation strategies
- Support and/or lead on client negotiations
- Research, propose and implement appropriate internal rate changes
- Act as pricing champion serving as an advocate for all pricing related matters. Work with the various teams to optimise their use of pricing data, tools and guidance.
- Design and deliver pricing-focussed training sessions for Partners, Associates and the Commercial team
Skills & Attributes of the Senior Pricing Manager
- Extensive pricing experience from professional services firm (a law firm would be desirable)
- Experience of working with and supporting Partners
- Identify actionable commercial insights to improve returns and then design and drive projects to deliver the intended benefits.
- Possess strong commercial awareness with a clear understanding of the levers to deliver both client value and profitability
- Individuals from Pricing, Commercial Finance Manager or Legal Project Manager positions would be strongly considered
