A Financial Analyst role is available for this world leading Law firm who has developed an enviable reputation for advising world-leading corporate and financial institutions across some of the world's leading companies and financial institutions including a significant number listed on the Fortune 100, FTSE 100 and DAX. Covering a broad range of practices including Banking & Finance, Capital Markets, Intellectual Property, Joint Ventures & Strategic Alliances, Mergers & Acquisitions and Real Estate, the business operates across Asia, the Americas and Europe. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a collaborative and diverse organisation. This is a key role where you can work across the business with senior stakeholders to provide timely and strategic financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities of the Financial Analyst

  • Prepare financial analysis to support strategic decision making across the business including the monthly compilation of the management accounts (together with written commentaries)

  • Prove historical trend analysis and model future potential performance based on varying assumptions

  • Research market trends utilizing various information services

  • Have a continuous improvement mindset for the reporting process through use of automation and business intelligence tools

  • Provide support to the management of FP&A in the planning, quarterly reforecasting and annual forecasting exercises

  • Preparation of presentations and data for senior stakeholders including fee earners


Skills & Attributes of the Financial Analyst

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Accounting, Finance or similar business-related subject.

  • Experience within financial analysis, ideally in professional services business

  • Strong data manipulation and presentation skills with either Excel, Tableau or BI tools

  • Ability to understand business and communicate with both finance and non-finance personnel and senior management

  • The role demands a confident, self-motivated approach, commercial acumen and the gravitas to influence and advise key stakeholders
