Having developed a strong reputation within a niche sector, this entrepreneurial FinTech SME continues to deliver a range of corporate solutions to a portfolio of blue-chip clients throughout Europe & North America. Boasting consistent growth over the past 4 years and with ambitious expansion plans across all key divisions, the business is currently seeking a qualified accountant to undertake a Financial Controller role within the central finance team.
Key Responsibilities of Financial Controller
- Preparation & analysis of monthly management accounts, performance, variances & trends
- Driving planning, budgeting and forecasting processes
- Responsibility for statutory accounts pack, liaison with audits and tax calculations
- Coordination of monthly financial accounts preparation
- Review of Profit & Loss & key balance sheet accounts
- Supporting the budgeting process and working closely with cost centre managers
- Preparation of payroll, VAT corporation tax and PSA returns
- Ongoing development of Netsuite system
- Supervision of a small finance team
Skills & Attributes of Financial Controller
As a graduate qualified accountant from a Big 4 or Top 10 background with strong technical and Excel skills, you will demonstrate a passion for working within a rapidly growing and evolving SME in a new and exciting industry, alongside a proactive, hands on approach and a commercial eye for detail. The ability to implement new processes, develop reporting procedures and build robust relationships with key decision makers is prerequisite. This role is seen as a future FD of the business.
