Due to excellent investment a newly created role of Legal Project Analyst is available at this leading Law firm to work closely with specific practice groups. Key Responsibilities of the Legal Project Analyst
Supporting the Transactions Practices in the delivery of structured legal project management on large, complex or multi-jurisdictional matters. This will involve supporting the Legal Project Managers with day-to-day project management tasks.
Support the design, development, and implementation of matter budgets, together with the proactive monitoring of budgets against actual performance and lead on presenting findings to key stakeholders.
Assist with the scoping, planning, and reporting for projects, including developing the project plan and project timeline, providing regular status updates internally and to the client, and tracking of progress against scope, timeline, and cost parameters.
Communicate with the Associates, Senior Associates and Partners within the Practice Group.
Co-ordinating regular legal project management calls and meetings; distributing instructions to local counsel; and responding to legal team queries on matters of transaction/project process.
Supporting the Legal Project Managers in the management of external service providers and local counsel teams; managing conflicts clearances; preparing draft instructions; supporting matter kick off; process design and other administrative activities.
Drafting pitch content for the Legal Project Managers for submission on client and panel pitches covering legal project management frameworks and principles, technology and process improvement.
Supporting the Legal Project Managers with periodic reporting (status; financial; value; impact) and assisting with the gathering and clarification of inputs by engaging with the legal delivery teams
Working on document automation or AI projects and providing interface between the transaction or matter team and other business services teams and functions
Skills & Attributes of the Legal Project Analyst
You will have experience working as an Analyst within a law firm or other professional services business (Consultancy / Big 4).
We are looking for strong technical skills
Excel, PowerPoint and Word essential
SharePoint or HighQ an advantage
Financial Practice Management System (e.g. Elite or Aderant Expert) an advantage
PowerBI (or PowerAutomate tools) for analysis and reporting
You will be organised with a practical mindset and the ability to see the big picture.
