We’re supporting a global law firm with a presence in major financial and commercial hubs worldwide, it combines deep industry expertise with a strong focus on innovation and cross-border collaboration to deliver high-impact legal solutions. The firm is known for advising leading businesses, financial institutions, and governments on their most complex and high-stakes matters.
As a Legal Project Manager, you’ll work on high-value, cross-border matters, supporting legal teams and clients through the full lifecycle of complex legal projects.
Key Responsibilities of the Legal Project Manager
- Project Management: Scope, plan, and deliver legal matters—developing timelines, managing budgets, and tracking progress.
- Client Communication: Act as a key point of contact, keeping clients informed on fees, timelines, and project changes.
- Team Coordination: Work across departments and international offices to align workstreams and ensure seamless delivery.
- Financial Oversight: Monitor fees, budgets, and financial performance; ensure clear reporting and narrative for clients.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve legal service delivery and introduce efficiencies using technology and best practices.
- Risk & Change Management: Spot issues early and ensure appropriate steps are taken to manage risks and project shifts.
Skills & Attributes of the Legal Project Manager
- This role would suit either a qualified lawyer used to managing their own matters looking for a career move, or a client facing project manager or consultant from a large professional services business
- Experience managing legal or professional services projects in a client-facing role.
- Background in law, consulting, or operations with a solid grasp of commercial project delivery.
- Confident working with stakeholders, partners, and cross-functional teams.
- Comfortable with budgeting, reporting, and financial performance tracking.
- Detail-oriented, adaptable, and proactive—able to keep multiple projects moving.
- Project management certification (e.g. PRINCE2) is desirable.
