As a Legal Technology Manager, you’ll be focused on designing better ways of working, using technology, data and process improvement to help lawyers and clients achieve smarter outcomes.
Key Responsibilities of the Legal Technology Manager
Deliver strategic technology projects - Oversees key legal technology programmes from concept to implementation, building consensus among stakeholders and embedding new tools into day-to-day practice.
Bridge business and technology needs - Works closely with lawyers, support functions and clients to interpret operational requirements and shape practical digital solutions.
Strengthen internal expertise - Guides and mentors Legal Technologists and associated team members to enhance skills, performance and knowledge sharing.
Research and trial digital solutions - Investigates and tests AI-driven and automation-focused platforms, partnering with internal specialists and external providers to identify suitable applications.
Support adoption and learning - Creates structured onboarding, education and transition plans that encourage confident and sustained use of new systems.
Skills & Attributes of the Legal Technology Manager
Professional services background - Brings experience from legal, technology-focused or advisory roles within complex professional environments involving system or process improvement.
Analytical solution design - Capable of diagnosing workflow challenges and designing effective technology-based responses to improve efficiency.
Influencing communication style - Engages persuasively with varied audiences and explains technical concepts in a clear, accessible manner.
Awareness of digital tools - Familiar with current developments in AI, automation and legal software relevant to modern legal operations.
Change-oriented approach - Demonstrates initiative, persistence and comfort operating in evolving organisational landscapes.
