A Management Accountant is sought by a market leader within the Asset Management sector. This high-growth long term developer, investor and operator of public sector infrastructure assets supports a broad range of projects encompassing Property, Renewable Energy, Construction, Infrastructure and Waste Recycling. Continued and successful expansion through winning bids, financial close and new projects has created a new opportunity for a qualified accountant to undertake a Management Accountant role responsible for providing effective financial control and delivering key financial information on a portfolio of projects.
Key Responsibilities of the Management Accountant
Preparation & review of monthly management accounts for a portfolio of projects
Driving the delivery of financial transactions including invoicing, credit control & payments
Ensure compliance with contractual documentation & all agreed programmes & procedures
Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
Preparation of annual operating budget for review, approval & processing
Preparation of treasury investment proposal & quarterly corporation tax payment calculation
Review & approval of VAT, PAYE, NI, CT61 & R185 returns
Management of statutory audit process, compiling audit working papers & liaison with auditors
Preparation of draft annual statutory accounts for review
Review of monthly bank reconciliations
Skills & Attributes of the Management Accountant
Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
A desire to learn something new - it is not expected that you would have knowledge of the industry but a desire to investigate and learn is highly desirable
Demonstrable experience of producing management accounts and reviewing the work of others
Line management of an accounts assistant
