The Company
This growing family office supports the expanding business interests of a highly entrepreneurial family behind a number of well-known consumer brands and valuable intellectual property assets. As the portfolio continues to grow across international markets through licensing, marketing and brand partnerships, the family office is expanding its finance team.
This newly created role will support the Head of Finance in the day-to-day financial management of the family office and associated entities, offering broad exposure across accounting, operational finance and commercial activities.
Key Responsibilities of the Finance Manager
Financial Operations Management - Manage day-to-day financial operations including bookkeeping, transaction processing, reconciliations and journal entries while maintaining accurate financial records across entities.
Cashflow & Payments Oversight - Oversee payment processing, monitor expenditure and support cashflow planning and forecasting to ensure effective liquidity management.
Management & Statutory Reporting - Prepare monthly management accounts for review and support the preparation of statutory accounts and financial reporting requirements.
Tax & Payroll Administration - Assist with VAT, income and corporation tax returns while managing payroll, pension administration and employee expense processes.
Asset & Commercial Oversight - Monitor fixed assets, trademark registrations, insurance policies and provide financial insight on licensing, sponsorship and commercial agreements.
Skills & Attributes of the Finance Manager
Qualified Finance Professional - Qualified accountant with strong financial accounting and management reporting experience.
Fast-Paced Environment Experience - Comfortable working in a dynamic and evolving business environment with the ability to manage varied responsibilities.
Consumer Sector Exposure - Previous experience within consumer-facing sectors such as fashion, cosmetics, media or brand-led businesses would be advantageous.
Strong Stakeholder Communication - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the confidence to liaise with advisors, suppliers and household staff.
Professionalism & Discretion - Calm, organised and trustworthy approach with the gravitas to handle confidential and sensitive matters appropriately.
