The Company

The owner of multiple high-profile consumer brands has continued to expand across markets and territories year-on-year which has led to the expansion of the family office. New licencing and marketing contracts across the world have created the need for a finalist or qualified Senior Accountant to support the Head of Finance in the day to day running of the family office.

 

Key Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant

 

·        Setting up cash payments, cashflow planning & forecasting, expenditure management

·        Preparation of month-end management accounts for review

·        Supporting the preparation of statutory accounts

·        VAT, Income & Corporation Tax returns

·        Payroll, pension & expense claim management

·        Day to day bookkeeping & management & financial accounting including transactions, reconciliations & journals

·        Monitoring trademark registration & renewal

·        Tracking & renewing insurance policies

·        Monitoring & review of fixed & business assets

·        Providing commercial support for the evaluation of current & future licensing & sponsorship deals

·        Liaison with professional advisors, household staff & business suppliers to resolve business & management issues including IT, Utilities, Vehicle Fleets & Communications

 

Skills & Attributes of the Senior Accountant

 

·        Experience of working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment is essential

·        Previous exposure to consumer-based businesses such as cosmetics, fashion or media would be advantageous

·        Working knowledge of Xero would be beneficial but can be taught

·        Calm and professional approach

·        Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills

·        Gravitas to handle highly sensitive and confidential matters in a discreet and conscientious manner
