A Financial Accountant role is now available for this global management consulting business who has developed an enviable reputation for advising world-leading corporate and financial institutions around the world. This is a key role where you can work across the business with senior stakeholders to provide timely and strategic financial reporting.

 

Key Responsibilities of the Financial Accountant

 

·        Financial close support - Prepare and support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.

·        Financial statement preparation - Assist in the preparation of financial statements in accordance with US GAAP requirements.

·        Balance sheet reconciliations - Perform detailed balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances to ensure accuracy and completeness.

·        Budgeting and forecasting support - Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities to support decision-making.

·        Audit and control compliance - Support internal and external audit processes while ensuring adherence to internal controls and accounting policies.

 

Skills & Attributes of the Financial Accountant

 

·        Academic background - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is required.

·        CPA exam progression - Active CPA candidate or part-qualified CPA with demonstrable exam progress is preferred but not essential.

·        Accounting experience - 2+ years of relevant accounting or financial accounting experience within a large corporate environment.

·        Technical accounting knowledge - Strong understanding of US GAAP, with experience using ERP systems and advanced Excel functionality.

·        Analytical and communication skills - High attention to detail, strong analytical capability, and the ability to communicate effectively with internal stakeholders.
