A highly regarded global professional services firm is expanding its footprint in the Middle East and is seeking to establish and grow a Legal Management Consulting offering in the region. The firm partners with legal departments and contracting functions to deliver innovative solutions, drive operational transformation, and align legal services with broader business strategy. With a strong existing client base and an appetite for continued growth, this is a unique opportunity to shape and lead a market-defining legal consulting function in a fast-evolving landscape.
As Head of Legal Management Consulting – Middle East, you will take full ownership for building, growing, and leading the legal operations and transformation offering across the region. You will work with general counsel, heads of legal operations, and C-suite stakeholders to design and deliver high-impact consulting engagements. This is both a strategic and client-facing role, ideal for a seasoned consulting leader with a passion for innovation in the legal sector.
Key responsibilities of the Head of LMC:
- Leading the development and execution of the firm’s Legal Management Consulting strategy in the Middle East
- Building and leading a high-performing team of consultants focused on legal transformation, operating model redesign, technology enablement and efficiency improvement
- Overseeing the delivery of complex, multi-jurisdictional projects for high-profile corporate clients and legal functions
- Driving business development efforts and establishing key client relationships across the private and public sectors
- Acting as a visible thought leader and market advocate for legal innovation in the region
- Collaborating with global colleagues to align the Middle East practice with the wider international consulting network
- Mentoring and developing local talent and embedding a culture of excellence, collaboration and diversity
Skills & Attributes of the Head of LMC
You will be an experienced legal transformation or legal operations professional, ideally with a consulting background and international exposure. You will be commercially astute, entrepreneurial, and ready to take on the challenge of launching and scaling a regional capability.
- Proven leadership experience in legal management consulting, legal operations, or transformation roles
- A track record of delivering strategic and operational change projects within legal departments or law firms
- Strong understanding of legal operating models, technology, resourcing strategies, and process optimisation
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, including at executive and board level
- Previous experience working in or with the Middle East region is highly desirable
- Demonstrable success in business development, team leadership, and practice growth
- Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., project/change management, Lean Six Sigma, legal ops certifications) are advantageous
- A collaborative, agile and culturally aware leadership style
