Legal Administration Manager
Leeds, Manchester or Birmingham – hybrid
£50,000 - £65,000 + bonus + benefits



We’re working with a nationally recognised, full-service UK law firm to recruit a Legal Administration Manager—a key leadership role within their central operations function. This firm is known for its collaborative culture, sustained growth, and commitment to delivering first-class client service.

This newly shaped role will lead the delivery of administrative support services across the business, ensuring high-quality, efficient and consistent support to lawyers, partners and clients. You’ll oversee teams across legal admin, document production and outsourced service providers, as well as help drive improvements in facilities and workplace services.


Key Responsibilities of the Legal Administration Manager

 
  • Lead and manage legal admin and secretarial teams across multiple UK locations
  • Oversee document production, reprographics and outsourced transcription services
  • Act as the link between operational teams, fee earners, and senior leadership to ensure service excellence
  • Review and refine processes, workflows, and SLAs to improve efficiency and consistency
  • Manage supplier relationships related to document services, facilities and admin
  • Work closely with HR, IT and Operations to support change programmes and service upgrades
  • Contribute to the firm’s broader strategy for delivering outstanding client support

Skills & Attributes of the Head of Legal Administration Manager
 
  • Experience managing legal admin, secretarial or business support teams within a law firm or professional services environment
  • Strong people manager with a focus on performance, quality, and service delivery
  • Skilled in managing change and introducing operational improvements
  • Comfortable working across multiple locations or in a matrix structure
  • Excellent relationship-building skills, especially with senior stakeholders and lawyers
  • Experience with facilities or office services management is a plus
