Legal Operations Manager
Birmingham, Leeds or Manchester – hybrid role
£60,000 - £75,000 + bonus + benefits



We’re working with a nationally respected and forward-thinking UK law firm to recruit a Legal Operations Manager to support the evolution of their business services and operations function. This is a key hire into a growing central team and will play a crucial role in enabling the firm’s continued success.

The firm has a strong UK footprint and a reputation for delivering commercially focused legal advice to clients across sectors including real estate, private wealth, retail, and corporate. Key Responsibilities of the Legal Operations Manager

 
  • Oversee the day-to-day legal administration and operational support across multiple practice areas
  • Manage a team of direct and indirect reports within the legal operations and administrative functions
  • Act as a key liaison between lawyers, partners, and central support teams to ensure high-quality service delivery
  • Support the implementation of new systems, workflows, and process improvements
  • Contribute to the wider change and transformation strategy across the business services function
  • Deliver regular reporting, data insights and process reviews to help the firm scale effectively
  • Lead initiatives that improve consistency, efficiency and client service delivery across departments

Skills & Attributes of the Legal Operations Manager
 
  • Experience working in a law firm or legal services environment is essential
  • Strong background in legal operations, administration, or business services leadership
  • Proven people manager with experience leading and motivating multi-site teams
  • Confident working with senior stakeholders, including lawyers and partners
  • Excellent organisational skills with a proactive, problem-solving mindset
  • Comfortable managing change and driving continuous improvement in a legal setting
