The organisation is a leading professional services firm with a strong commitment to innovation, technology adoption, and client excellence. The role sits within the London-based Innovation team in the Commercial department and supports firmwide strategic priorities. This position plays a central role in shaping innovation initiatives, legal technology adoption, and client-facing programmes.

They are currently seeking a Legal Technology Manager to support the delivery of major client matters and drive operational excellence across the firm.

 

Key Responsibilities of the Legal Technology Manager

 

·        Innovation strategy delivery - Support the Head of Innovation in developing and delivering the firm’s innovation strategy, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.

·        Legal technology and AI adoption - Lead the assessment, implementation, and adoption of legal technology and generative AI tools, including training, communications, and success measurement.

·        Programme and project management - Manage multiple innovation projects simultaneously, ensuring delivery to agreed timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

·        Stakeholder and client engagement - Build and maintain strong relationships with partners, internal teams, clients, and external vendors to support collaboration and innovation initiatives.

·        Culture, training, and team leadership - Promote a culture of innovation, deliver training across the firm, and manage and develop members of the Innovation team.

 

Skills & Attributes of the Legal Technology Manager

 

·        Legal innovation expertise - Proven experience delivering legal technology initiatives, process improvement projects, and client-facing innovation programmes.

·        Technology and AI knowledge - Strong understanding of AI, machine learning, and emerging technologies relevant to the legal sector, with high digital capability.

·        Communication and stakeholder skills - Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels.

·        Leadership and resilience - Demonstrated ability to lead and develop people, manage competing priorities, maintain professionalism, and adapt positively to change.

·        Legal services experience - At least five years’ experience, ideally within a large or City law firm, or professional services business, with a strong understanding of legal workflows.
