A Management Accountant is sought by this truly leading global £multi-billion turnover business services group. Operating across 4 continents, they have developed an enviable reputation for outstanding client service and delivering innovative specialist products and unique solutions. Continued growth has resulted in the need for a bright graduate qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA ideally from a Big 4 or Top 10 firm, to assume a high-profile finance business partnering role, your remit is to support a regional business unit in the provision of financial advice, planning, budgeting, analysis & reporting.
Key Responsibilities of the Management Accountant
- Preparation of financial analysis & influential reports: providing financial advice, financial planning, budgeting, analysis (FP&A) & reporting relating to specific Business Services Operating areas/functions
- Business partnering with senior managers & Directors to ensure a thorough understanding of cost base & potential developments that may impact on budgets & forecasts
- Lead on business planning, budgeting & reforecasting processes for business entities
- Preparation of monthly expenditure OPEX & CAPEX analysis, variances & commentaries to advise business units & depts. of ongoing financial & assets position
- Providing technical financial support, financial modelling & advice on internal policies & procedures
- Driving analysis to explain significant movements & challenge budget & reforecasts and explaining finance to non-finance SMT
- Management & development of a small finance team
Skills & Attributes of the Management Accountant
- Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA ideally from a Big 4 or Top 10 firm
- Graduate from a Russell Group university with 2:1 or 1st class degree
- Ability to understand business and communicate with both finance and non-finance personnel and senior management
- The role demands a confident, self-motivated approach, commercial acumen and the gravitas to influence and advise key stakeholders
