Are you looking for an opportunity to be part of a team providing real innovation in a global law firm?

We’re supporting the search for a newly created Innovation Manager role, where the candidate will work closely with lawyers and clients to utilise technology, including AI solutions, to make meaningful and lasting change for the firm.

If you have some exposure to the legal sector (law firm, consulting or inhouse) and proven experience within AI and Change Management then this could be the new role for you.

Key Responsibilities of the Innovation Manager

 
  • Partner with clients to explore innovation and AI opportunities, delivering strategic guidance aligned with the firm’s Innovation Strategy
  • Champion innovation across the firm through events, thought leadership, and social media to enhance our reputation
  • Create impactful materials (presentations, reports, guides) to support internal and client-facing innovation efforts
  • Act as a trusted advisor to practice groups, helping them identify and implement tailored innovation initiatives
  • Drive adoption of AI and innovation frameworks, ensuring solutions align with business goals and legal workflows
  • Gather business needs and feed them into the Solutions team to shape firmwide priorities
  • Serve as Product Owner for AI solutions, aligning development with practice requirements
  • Bridge communication between the business and the AI Centre of Excellence, ensuring alignment, clarity, and measurable outcomes

Skills & Attributes of the Innovation Manager
 
  • Experience in AI and change management within a law firm, consulting firm or inhouse legal team
  • Ideally you will understand lawyer workflow
  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality service to clients or internal stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of AI technologies, particularly Generative AI, and their implications for professional services, including ethical considerations and industry best practices
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and project management skills, with a track record of successful cross-functional collaboration and strong communication skills
  • Experience in developing strategic partnerships and managing external vendor relationships
  • Expertise in change management, with the ability to guide teams through digital transformation challenges
