Due to continued growth and expansion of internal service offerings, a new position has been created for a Senior Cloud Engineer.
Key Responsibilities of the Senior Cloud Engineer
Microsoft 365 Architecture & Engineering
- Design, deploy, and manage Microsoft 365 solutions, with a focus on SharePoint Online, Microsoft Purview, and Copilot/Copilot Studio.
- Optimize Microsoft 365 services to enhance collaboration, productivity, and security.
Security & Compliance
- Ensure the security of M365 and Copilot environments, covering identity and access management, threat protection, and information protection.
- Develop and enforce security policies in collaboration with IT and compliance teams to meet regulatory and industry standards.
- Conduct audits, generate reports, and implement improvements to maintain compliance with data protection regulations.
Microsoft Purview Implementation & Governance
- Deploy and manage Microsoft Purview solutions, focusing on data governance, compliance, and insider risk management.
- Utilize Purview to monitor, classify, and manage data policies within Copilot Studio
System Monitoring & Technical Support
- Maintain system performance, availability, and scalability through proactive monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Provide technical expertise and support to engineering teams, ensuring smooth operation of M365, Purview, and Copilot services.
Skills & Attributes of the Senior Cloud Engineer
- 5+ years of experience as a Microsoft 365 Full Stack Engineer.
- Strong background in application and infrastructure design, with advanced conceptual thinking skills.
- Proficiency in PowerShell and enterprise-level automation techniques (e.g., Desired State Configuration).
- Deep understanding of cloud computing principles, particularly within Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 environments.
- Preferred certifications: Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals; Microsoft Certified: Information Protection Administrator.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.
- Proven track record of deploying, managing, and optimizing Microsoft 365 services.
- Expertise in Microsoft Purview, including data governance, information protection, and compliance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional and global teams.
