This leading technology organisation has seen continual growth over the past 10 years and has developed an enviable reputation for the highest standards in leadership, learning enhancement and digital skills. Supporting a range of sectors, the group is currently seeking a qualified Senior Finance Manager to support the Director of Finance. With responsibility for leading the finance team, ensuring the implementation of financial controls and supporting informed financial decision making across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities of Senior Finance Manager
- Driving the production of monthly management accounts & acting as a finance partner to budget holders
- Leading annual budgeting & quarterly forecasting cycles
- Assisting with financial planning including 5-year projections & scenario modelling
- Leading preparation of monthly accounts including review balance sheet reconciliations
- Ensuring payments are checked, validated & reconciled prior to authorisation
- Preparation of VAT returns
- Verification of monthly payroll figures for outsourced payroll provider
- Leading year end internal & external audits
- Ensuring financial controls policies are current, monitored & enhanced
- Managing a team of 5 (qualified, part-qualified & administrative)
Skills & Attributes of Senior Finance Manager
As a graduate qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA, you will demonstrate hands on financial & management accounting, staff management, budgeting, planning and forecasting skills, ideally with a working knowledge of Sage 200 and experience of the Education or Technology sector. The role demands a proactive, outgoing personality, evidence of business partnering the non-finance community and strong staff-leaderships skills to develop and enhance the existing team. You will be seeking a challenging role where you can add value and influence change.
