A Senior Legal Project Manager is sought by this Legal Professional Services group. Operating in Europe, Asia and the Middle East and boasting a strong track record of delivering high quality services to a blue-chip portfolio of clients in some of the fastest growing markets in the world, team growth has led to the creation of a new Senior Legal Project Manager role.
Key Responsibilities of the Senior Legal Project Manager
- Matter Delivery: Lead and support matters requiring project management expertise, ensuring efficient delivery and exploring innovative approaches that enhance client outcomes.
- Project Management Tools & Processes: Set up, maintain and embed legal project management frameworks, supporting teams in their consistent use.
- Client & Stakeholder Engagement: Scope matters, develop budgets and resourcing plans, engage third parties and identify appropriate technologies.
- Lifecycle Oversight: Manage matters from planning through completion, providing oversight on scope, financials, resourcing and efficiency, and conducting debriefs.
- Strategic Support: Assist the Head of Legal Project Management with firmwide and client-facing initiatives.
- Business Development: Contribute to pitches, client presentations and relationship management.
- Training & Development: Coach and mentor lawyers, trainees and team members to embed best practice in legal project management.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive measurable value—enhancing client service, creating efficiencies, and supporting the firm’s strategic goals.
Skills & Experience of the Senior Legal Project Manager
- Proven Legal Project Manager experience, ideally in a law firm environment but other sectors will be considered.
- Proven track record of independently managing client matters and engaging with senior stakeholders.
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities under pressure.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with professionalism, diplomacy and commercial awareness.
- Confident in financial management, including budgeting, monitoring and reporting.
- Recognised project management qualification (e.g. PRINCE2) preferred but not essential.
- Experience managing or mentoring others desirable.
- Collaborative mindset and commitment to promoting best practice in legal project management.
