A Financial Analyst role is available for this world leading Law firm who has developed an enviable reputation for advising world-leading corporate and financial institutions across some of the world's leading companies and financial institutions including a significant number listed on the Fortune 100, FTSE 100 and DAX. Covering a broad range of practices including Banking & Finance, Capital Markets, Intellectual Property, Joint Ventures & Strategic Alliances, Mergers & Acquisitions and Real Estate, the business operates across Asia, the Americas and Europe. This is a key role where you can work across the business with senior stakeholders to provide timely and strategic financial reporting.

 

Key Responsibilities of the Financial Analyst

 

·        Annual budgeting support – Supports the end-to-end annual budgeting process, including departmental expenses, capital expenditure, and attorney headcount planning, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities.

·        Performance analysis & insight – Analyses firm-wide financial performance against strategic goals, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.

·        Business segment reporting – Interprets and reviews financial results across practice groups and growth initiatives, providing meaningful insight to stakeholders.

·        Financial modelling & forecasting – Develops and maintains financial models, cash flow outlooks, and short- and long-term forecasts to support key business decisions.

·        Stakeholder collaboration & projects – Works closely with FP&A colleagues and cross-functional teams while contributing to systems, process, and transformation initiatives.

 

Skills & Attributes of the Financial Analyst

 

·        FP&A or analytics experience – A minimum of 3 years’ experience in FP&A, accounting, or business analytics within a complex organisation.

·        Strong financial education – Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline; advanced qualifications or CPA are advantageous.

·        Advanced Excel capability – Strong proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, with exposure to Power BI, SQL, or financial systems desirable.

·        Analytical & communication skills – Highly analytical with the ability to clearly articulate insights, recommendations, and financial outcomes.

·        Collaborative & adaptable mindset – A proactive team player who exercises sound judgement, handles confidential information, and embraces change.
