Support the Delivery of High-Value Legal Work

We are seeking a Legal Project Coordinator to join an established Legal Project Management (LPM) team in London. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with legal sector experience who is passionate about improving matter delivery, client service, and operational efficiency across complex legal projects.

Working closely with lawyers, clients, and business services teams, you will play a key role in the planning, execution, and financial oversight of client matters. You will be part of a global team focused on embedding best-in-class project management practices within the firm.

 

Key Responsibilities

·        Coordinate and support the delivery of legal matters, including planning, scheduling, and resourcing

·        Organise project meetings, prepare agendas and minutes, and manage project documentation

·        Track deliverables, timelines, dependencies, and risks, ensuring timely escalation and resolution

·        Monitor matter budgets in collaboration with the Finance team, analysing variances and supporting budget submissions

·        Assist with onboarding new project team members and help embed process efficiencies using Lean and legal tech tools

·        Draft project plans, client updates, and status reports to maintain transparency and accountability

·        Support post-matter reviews, contributing to continuous improvement and knowledge sharing

·        Act as a liaison between legal teams, clients, and business functions to ensure smooth project coordination across time zones and practices

·        Help promote and implement LPM best practices across the firm

 

Skills & Experience

·        Experience in a legal or professional services environment, ideally within a project coordination, legal operations, or matter management role

·        Familiarity with law firm operations, financial metrics, and matter lifecycle management

·        Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

·        Proficiency with Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and project management tools (e.g., Visio, MS Project, PowerBI)

·        Confident communicator with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills

·        Analytical and detail-oriented, with a proactive approach to problem solving and process improvement

·        Formal project management qualifications (e.g., APMQ, PRINCE2, PMP) are an advantage
