Due to team growth and expansion, a Senior Legal Project Manager role is available for this world leading Law firm. This firm has developed an enviable reputation for advising world-leading corporate and financial institutions across some of the world's leading companies and financial institutions including a significant number listed on the Fortune 100, FTSE 100 and DAX. Covering a broad range of practices including Banking & Finance, Capital Markets, Intellectual Property, Joint Ventures & Strategic Alliances, Mergers & Acquisitions and Real Estate, the business operates across Asia, the Americas and Europe. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing team and really shape the way Legal Project Management is delivered. You will work directly with clients across various business areas to manage projects and legal matters executing the firm’s LPM strategy.

Key Responsibilities of the Senior Legal Project Manager
  • Support and lead the Firm's LPM initiatives across the UK and Europe, with a focus on matter management of the Firm's largest and most complex instructions
  • Work directly with partners and legal teams to develop and implement LPM tools such as Project Plans and Communications Plans that set out scope changes and assumptions, timelines, milestones and resources
  • Matter management and logistics including leading client and team meetings, preparing agendas and maintaining action lists, meeting minutes, scheduling, planning, and estimating
  • Assist management, practice group leadership and client teams in understanding client and matter economics through the production, interpretation and provision of management and financial analysis and insight
  • Provide functional support for the Firm's matter management / budgeting tool and coach partners and associates in use of the tool. Understands applicable legal, financial, and project-management related concepts
  • Assist partners in the development of budgets, monitoring of matter budgets against actual performance, providing advice in relation to improving matter financial performance. Prepare analysis to support proposed fee arrangements
  • Deliver training to associates and more junior LPM and Operations team members in LPM tools and best practices. Provide mentorship for junior team members
  • Actively seek client-facing LPM opportunities. Build and maintain relationships with partners and clients, and engage in Business Development such as pitches and client presentations
  • Engage in wider LPM networking and promotion, such as speaking at conferences and roundtables; and keep apprised of industry trends, offerings, and technology

Skills & Attributes of the Senior Legal Project Manager
 
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent with an additional project management certification desirable
  • Client facing Project Management experience from an international professional services firm, partnership or law firm – experience with Legal Project Management is highly desirable
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Excellent communication skills, able to articulate clearly and succinctly
